Beijing Industrial University Library was formally established in 1960, located in the north classroom building Locations floor, just a collection of over 60,000 volumes. In 1982, the school raised funds to build more than 8,000 square meters of independent premises (now North Hall) for the library, promoting the development of library work. In 1992, the library used self-developed automated library management software, becoming one of the earliest libraries to realize the library computer management.
